Center Part Comb Wave

Part hair directly in the center of the head, forming a wave toward the face on each side of the part and complete wave by placing combs as directed.

In doing a center part it is advisable to put in a wave on each side of the part then take your hand and push the hair up at the back to see which way it falls naturally. If it falls more to the left then you would like your wave on the opposite side and continue in the usual manner.

Straight Back Comb Wave

The hair is combed back as in a pompadour and the wave is started first by pushing up the hair to see which direction it falls naturally. If it falls to the left to start the wave in that direction. It is carried across to the other side of the head. And then work back to the opposite, continuing likewise, until you are at the nape of the neck. Then make curls.

Single-dip Straight-back Comb Wave

The hair is combed in the same manner as the Straight Back only instead of taking the wave straight across you bring the first dip over the face about the middle of the eyebrow and this is lost. When you reach the other side be sure not to let the hair fall over the face but just in the front ear. Continue in the usual manner.

Double-dip Straight-back Comb Wave

The hair is combed off the face in the same manner as the Straight Back and pushed forward to see which side it falls on. Then bring wave over the middle of the eyebrow and continue bringing down until you reach the middle of forehead. Now the wave is lost and the wave is started on the opposite side and brought over the eyebrow on the side. But the hair must not be combed up when you approach the other wave, so it will give the effect of no wave. Continue the same.

Quarter Straight Back Comb Wave

Part hair and comb back to a quarter section of head and set water wave combs accordingly.

Half Straight Back

Part hair and comb back to a half section of head and set water wave combs accordingly.
