Saucer Wave
The saucer wave as the term signifies is made with the waved forming a circle.
The center circle is small and the waves form around it. The saucer may be made directly
around the crown or it may be tilted to the thin side of the head.
The directions are as follows:
1. Place the index finger at the back of the crown.
Take a small section of hair (about 1/2 inch) in the comb
and form the ridge as in a straight finger wave.
2. This ridge is carried around the crown in a circle about
as large as a silver dollar.
3. There are no drop lines in saucer waving. The waves
are continued around in circular fashion until the head is completed.
4. Pin curls are fitted around the face.
