1940s Ringlet Curl

1.
Part wet hair saturated with setting lotion from
the center front to below the crown of the head. Make another part at right
angles to the center part from the center of the right ear to that of the
left ear.
2.
Comb the back hair straight and make three rows of loose pin curls at the neck.
3.
Comb the front hair on each side upward and backward and turn
it over the thumb in a forward downward movement into a long ringlet curl.
4.
Place a roll of tissue inside the ringlet to make it looser
and pin lightly. Dry under net, then remove the tissue and pin side coils,
lightly blending the ends into the back hair. The back hair is combed into
either a cluster of soft curls or a single smooth roll. This lovely on an oval
face.
