Lisette
One of the newest additions to the reVamp line is this lovely hostess dress, named Lisette. Hostess dresses were a popular garment in the 1930s, worn at home when entertaining guests. Our version is a composite of three Vionnet designs.
This elegant garment is all in one, with the bell sleeved bodice attached to the slacks at the high waist. The pants feature 5 yards of fabric curling in around the legs with no seams, reading like a skirt from the back and slacks from the front. They are stitched in soft burgundy rayon matte jersey. The bodice features a coordinating burgundy and bone color print. The open self collar features contrasting jersey bone. This fabric is also found in the wrap sash that threads through a slit at the center back. One of the unique design features is the small kimono style openings under the sleeves.
Please note that we will finish the hem in a simple overlock so that you may have it hemmed to your desired length for the nature of the design of this garment is mainly constructed on the bias of the fabric to insure a beautiful drape. The nature of bias is that a pattern piece that has been cut on the bias is on the diagonal and is unstable when first cut and will stretch unevenly for the first couple of weeks. We recommend that once you have had it hemmed, you store it laying flat.
Machine washable in delicate cycle with cold water or dry clean.
