This unusual silhouette was recreated from a vintage pattern from 1935. The types of fabrics used in the original garment were matched exactly. This means that stretch lycra used in contemporary bathing suits are not used in this or any of our other designs. You will find your experience wearing this suit to be comparable to the experience of a woman who wore the original in 1935.
This one-piece bathing suit is sewn in navy cotton broadcloth with sky blue and creme polkadots. The halter bodice gathers at lower bust and into wrap around collar that ties in the front. Libby features a shaped middrift yoke set into a four-gore skirt with a box pleat at center front skirt and inset modesty trunks. Skirt buttons at each side and bodice ties at back.
