Beatrice
Beatrice was inspired by an illustration in a Montgomery Wards catalogue from Spring 1935. This two-piece tunic frock is stitched in green and black rayon faille crepe. The upper bodice of the blouse finishes under the bust and is shaped with a series of tucks. The extra long peplum ends well below the hips. The most unique feature of the Beatrice are the sleeves that have double peaks that form a tuck at the shoulder cap and are set into a slim fitting cuff. The black of the 6 gore long skirt is repeated in the bodice at the rolled collar with ruffle, the three covered buttons at the sleeve cuff, as well as, at the belt. The neck ruffle features a vintage an eye-shaped, green bakelite button.
Machine washable in delicate cycle with cold water or dry cleanable.
