Ginger's silhouette was pieced together from two separate source materials. The blouse, circa 1937, was derived from a vintage pattern and is stitched in a burgundy, creme, tan and blue striped mini floral rayon crepe. There are four darts at each shoulder front anchored with a pocket flap mirrored in the skirt. There are four tucks at the waist front and two at back waist. The collar is bias cut which give it both a crisp and yet soft drape. The sleeves have a streamlined silhouette with four darts at the top to create a straight line from the shoulder supported with self-covered shoulder pads. At the base of the sleeve are four tucks that allows that sleeve to fit snugly at the upper arm and a gentle blousing from top to tucks. The blouse buttons with creme pearl sew through buttons used also on the pocket flaps.
