Hollywood Style

Dixie

This sweet, but sexy, housedress was inspired by a 1945 vintage pattern. This silhouette is very flattering as the cut of the dress accentuates the bustline while flattening the area between the ribs and waist with the inset yoke and sash. The bodice front has pintucks at shoulder and gathers under the bust. The two gore A-line skirt has patch pockets stitch in a creme linen cotton seen at the collar. Dixie is sewn in a teal, white, red, yellow and purple, cotton, mini-print broadcloth. The patch pockets and collar are accent with red rick rack.
