Felix

Felix reflects the transition from the extremely slender men's sihouettes of the 1910s and 20s. These high-waisted trousers have deep double pleats for a full leg that tapers to the 2" cuff. Like the Eddie trousers, Felix also sports cut-away pockets in the front, welt pockets in the back, side tabs and a 3" waistband with interior suspender buttons.

You will note, however, that the Felix waistband in unique in that the center front is shaped into a steep angle and is secured with three stacked buttons. You will find the medium blue windowpane linen-rayon fabric to be a blessing on warm summer days as the fabric is light in weight and breathes nicely.

Felix's vest is single breasted and fitted snugly at the waist. Both the front and back of the vest are stitched in the Felix trousers medium blue windowpane fabric while the interior is lined with blue rayon taffeta. The front of the vest is shaped gently into double peaks at the front and secured with 8 buttons. As the sweep of the bottom of the vest pulls away from the center front, the two additional buttons become decorative in nature. You will be happy to know that this not the case with with the two single welt pockets in the front of the vest which are, indeed, functional.
The back of the vest has tabs that may be tied to cinch in the waist.

The Felix trousers and vest are accompanied by this handsome white trellis patterned, tone on tone, Egyptian cotton dress shirt. This shirt, like the Eddie, is shaped at the waist and features a high, shallow yoke in which the double pleats of the skirt back is set. This shirt also has the handsome detail of the pointed button plackets above the cuffs. What is unique about the Felix shirt is the rounded collar which was very popular at the time.
