Princess-seamed Jumper
& Peasant Blouse

The Princess-seamed Jumper was inspired by a vintage pattern from 1944. Garments with a princess line are figure flattering as there is no seam at the waist to divide the body visually. The straps at the shoulder are 3" wide and once stitched with the center front and back panels, create a square neckline. This jumper has a left side zipper. It can be stitched in either a heavy-weight, teal, cotton twill or scarlet wool gabardine.

The peasant blouse became popular during WWII as the country wished to build stronger ties with our neighbors south of the United States. This blouse was recreated from a vintage pattern from 1945. This simple blouse is made out of two pieces. The front and back of the blouse are fitted at the waist with a series of tucks. The neckline and lower sleeve are gathered and bound. The Peasant Blouse is stitched in a off-white, cotton, crinkle gauze.
