Product Code: MJ-931441M-P
Description
Description
The old defunct Pendleton Woolen Mills was taken over by the Bishop family in 1909. A textile manufacturing family, the Bishops, resumed the production of blankets for Native Americans for which the Pendleton Woolen Mills was famous. In 1912, the company expanded operations and their product line into clothing. In 1929, they began producing a full line of woolen sportswear for men. A line of women's woolen sportswear was created in 1949. The Pendleton jacket was a ubiquitous coat of the 1940s and 50s. Always stitched in very heavy-weight wools, these jackets were a stylish way to keep warm. This is our Pendleton-inspired version with large patch pockets and high back yoke.
