Maisie
Maisie may we be the cutest ensemble that ever existed before or after 1933. The blouse is stitched in pastel teal cotton print with yellow and red bouquets of flowers. The shoulder yokes are attached to a bodice panel with 10 - 1/2" tucks that in turn is set into a sash that ties at the waist. The collar creates a surplice at the back neck and is made in a white cotton broadcloth that ties into the white in the print of the rest of the blouse. The sleeves are short and have deep tucks at the cap. This adorable blouse buttons up the front with 3/4" red buttons with ribbed square detail at the center.
Maisie's slacks mimick the paneled front pants worn by sailors. The legs are wide, are made up of only two pattern pieces that have no seam in the inside of the leg. They have a 2" waistband that sports 6 - 1 1/4" buttons that match the blouse. These slacks are constructed in Nile green cotton heavy weight broadcloth.
Machine washable in cold water & tumble dry with no heat.
