Description
The Charlie Trousers feature a high, Hollywood waist. These Zoot suit style, black and white, wool, pin-striped trousers reflect the silhouette that during the war caused race riots due to the blatant disregard of the General Limitation Order that strictly rationed the amount of fabric to be used the construction of trousers and any other garment. The Zoot suit was seen as unpatriotic especially by those men fighting in the war. The Charlie Trousers have a very exaggerated silhouette. The legs are quite full and taper severely at the hem. These trousers are intended to be worn with adjustable suspenders to maintain the proper placement of the trousers which should hit just below the ribs.
