Description
Nigel is fine representation of 1920s plus fours. These knickerbockers are called"plus fours" because the inseam of the pant leg is 4 inches below the knee which creates more blousing of the fabric at the knee band than traditional knickers. In the day, a gentleman could purchase knickers that came to the knee, plus twos, plus fours, plus sixes, and for a extremely blousy and exaggerated look, plus eights. The Nigel plus fours have double pleats at the front for a full leg. The front pockets are set in the side seams and the back pockets have double welts. Nigel has a 1 1/2 inch waistband and knee bands that button close. They can be made in either medium brown linen-cotton or a dark brown wool gabardine.
Please note that the dark brown wool gabardine will be $25 extra.
