Description Stitched in a cotton novelty print of lavenders and white, this fun and flirty bathing suit has a matching cover-up (sold separately) composed of a flattering halter vest and butterfly slacks that will take you from the beach to luncheon. Novelty prints gained popularity in the 50s and usually depicted people, animals or everyday objects in a playful setting. This print features sailboats, seagulls, waves and beachy hunks enjoying the sun. Sadie bathing suit's trunks and the halter midriff top are both based on a picture of Marilyn Monroe posing on the beach in the mid 50s. The simple triangle shaped bikini top gathers at the bust for fullness feature a small surplice and buttons at the neck and back. The trunks have built in lavender cotton knit jersey shorts, which peak out through the wrap around skirt in the novelty print. Contrasting lavender poplin can be found at the waistband, lining the skirt and framing the midriff top. Care Instructions Machine washable in cold water and tumble dry with no heat.
