Description This dress�s silhouette is derived from an illustration found in a Montgomery Wards catalogue from 1935. Mercedes is stitched in navy and grey silk crinkle crepe that is ubiquitous for this period. The bodice has a �V� neckline and darts under the bust. The midriff is two gores and houses a pyramid of ascending godets framed in grey. The sleeves are two tiered flutter style and utilizes both the navy and the grey fabrics in the dress.
