1950s

Nina

This French blue bengaline blouse and skirt ensemble was inspired by a vintage pattern from 1954. The blouse has the tailored silhouette in vogue during this era. The shape is very figure flattering with double fisheye darts at the front and back that not only shape the waist but creates the peplum-like flare at the hem. The blouse features three-quarter sleeves and shawl collar that is framed by a double row of black soutache. The black is repeated in the buttonholes and at the double button closure.

Nina's six gore skirt has a 1" waistband. You will note the length of the skirt that was popular during this time. This skirt is sold separately.

Dry clean only.
