1940s

Rosemary

Rosemary was fashioned after a vintage pattern from 1945. This two-piece ensemble is sewn in olive green and pink floral cotton broadcloth. The middrift top has a sweetheart neckline and darts at the lower bodice. The back of the neckline is square. The two-tone sleeves are gathered both at the armhole and at the hem that is bound in contrasting pink cotton broadcloth.

The Rosemary blouse is paired with this charming dirndl skirt. The 2" waistband is stitched in the pink broadcloth found in the blouse. The one gore skirt is gathered and set into the waistband. The overzised patch pockets are trimmed pink broadcloth and antique white eyelet lace also found at the hem.
