Sabrina Jackets
Sabrina is the crowning glory of our Women's Couture Suit Collection. She embodies the decadent, hyper feminine silhouettes that started with Dior's New Look in the late 40s and carries into it's apex in the mid 50s. Sabrina's jacket is made up of 12 panels and 56 pieces. The black and rose silk shantung highlights the dramatic style lines of the front and back jacket. The front has a princess line across the front of the bust and a second one at the side bust. The high stand up collar frames the face in black satin and drapes softly like petals on a flower. The black is repeated in the faceted buttons at the front and the ribbon that cinches the waist. The back of the jacket has beautiful lines that repeat the placement in the front. The rippled peplum creates a contrast with the smooth tailored lines of the jacket and accentuates the ratio from waist to hip reflecting the "X" shaped silhouette that defines the period. Fully lined.
